Tour our Farm -

   Hands-on in a hive!

We are located in Potosi, TX, and would love for your friends and family to take a private tour of our farm! We offer a unique adventure that provides hands-on experience in an active bee hive! Our goal at SGF is to educate the community about the incredible benefits of honey bees and open you up to a world of tiny organisms doing amazing things for the environment.

You will be provided with a beekeeping suit to keep you safe while examining the hive. Crissy will explain the tools and practices of beekeeping, the biology of the honey bee, and parts of a hive. This will be your opportunity to ask all the questions about going through the frames.

Our Private Hive Tours are designed to cater to your needs, whether you're a small or large group. We welcome both children and adults, with the provision that children are accompanied by chaperones. The minimum cost for a private tour is $75, which covers five spots. The $75 fee is charged at check-out to reserve your private tour. This tour must be booked two days before the date to ensure adequate staff.

Private Hive Tours are available on Fridays and Saturdays at 9-10:30 am. We begin offering them on March 1 and stop in early November depending on the weather dependent. Actual start-to-finish times may vary based on the number of guests in your group.

Beekeeping Consultation

Consultation is an extraordinary service that we offer. I love being able to help new beekeepers learn the ropes and pass on all the knowledge I have obtained.

Bee Farm

Mentorship

Our mentorship program is close to my heart because I love teaching individuals with hands-on experiences right in the hive. If you are looking for someone to be with you while you learn every step of the way, I would be honored to help!
