We’re located in Lawn, TX, and would love to host you, your friends, or your family for a private farm tour! At SGF, our goal is to educate and share the incredible world of honey bees and their impact on our environment.

Hands-on in a Hive
Experience an active hive up close! You’ll be provided with a full beekeeping suit for safety.
Crissy will walk you through:
• Beekeeping tools & practices
• Honey bee biology
• Parts of a hive
You’ll also get hands-on time going through frames and asking questions.

Screened in Bee Barn
Enjoy a live hive experience from the safety of our screened Bee Barn—no suit needed!
See bees up close while learning about:
• Beekeeping tools & practices
• Hive structure & bee roles
• Queen, workers, drones, honey, pollen, wax, and more
Details:
• Family-friendly (all ages welcome)
• Ages 3 & under: Free
• $15 per person (max 20 guests)
• Children must be accompanied by an adult
• Typically offered March–mid November (weather permitting)

• Please arrive early (5-minute grace period)
• Tour times may vary based on group size
• Located in Lawn, TX (south of Abilene)

• Weather: Tours canceled if raining or below 60°F (full refund or reschedule)

This service is for land management and Ag exemption. We will place hives on your property and do the hard work of managing them each month.
Beekeeping Consultation
Consultation is an extraordinary service that we offer. I love being able to help new beekeepers learn the ropes and pass on all the knowledge I have obtained.
Mentorship
Our mentorship program is close to my heart because I love teaching individuals with hands-on experiences right in the hive. If you are looking for someone to be with you while you learn every step of the way, I would be honored to help!
Apiary Set-Up
This is a great option to have an experienced keeper to help you set up your apiary with as little stress to you and your new bees as possible.
