2026 DATES: April 25, 2026 June 27, 2026 Swarming and splitting class teaches beekeepers how to manage bee colonies by understanding swarm biology, preventing swarming (a natural colony reproduction), and creating new hives (splits) to grow their apiary or manage space, using techniques like walk-away splits or vertical splits (Demaree) to increase hive numbers and honey production, often involving manipulating frames, queen cells, and timing for successful division.
