Service Description
2026 DATES: September 12, 2026 Splits and Queening class teaches beekeepers how to manage bee colonies by understanding swarm biology, preventing swarming (a natural colony reproduction), and creating new hives (splits) to grow their apiary or manage space, using techniques like walk-away splits or vertical splits (Demaree) to increase hive numbers and honey production, often involving manipulating frames, queen cells, and timing for successful division. This is a hands-on class at our apiary from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE IN THE APIARY Limited capacity available. Sign up to reserve your spot!
