Private Beekeeping Lesson

Service Description

Our hands-on Beekeeping Lesson is a great way to gain the essential skills and knowledge to become a beekeeper. You will learn about beekeeping tools, hive equipment, and basic bee biology. As you work hives alongside Crissy, you will learn to evaluate and understand what actions to take when working your bees. It is $75 each for up to six people. We have a limited amount of suits and gloves if you need to borrow protective gear. Private Beekeeping Lessons are currently available on Fridays and Saturdays. Typically we begin offering them March 1 and stop early November (weather dependent). When you place your order, we will contact you to schedule your lesson! Beekeeping is weather-dependent, so we reserve the right to reschedule as necessary. We recommend arriving at least 15-30 minutes early to get comfortable and put on your protective gear. If you need to borrow gear, please reply with your estimated size for a suit/gloves. Our shop has a restroom and cold drinks available. However, staying hydrated in this heat is very important, so please drink responsibly. We will be working the hives for 1-2 hours, and it can be challenging to drink through a suit. Please write down any questions you have in advance. We want to be able to help you learn as much as possible.
